Environment management company and waste management specialists Bee’ah has announced that work on its new Zaha Hadid designed Sharjah headquarters is 40% complete.

Bee’ah group CEO Khaled Al Huraimel told fmME in an exclusive face-to-face interview that “work is currently in full swing”.

“We expect approximately a year from now [it will be complete], in the last quarter of 2018. The project is iconic in so many ways, because it is one of the last projects designed by the late Zaha Hadid that she worked on herself,” he said.

The entire facility will be powered by 100% renewable energy and a smart office.

“It will help showcase our vision and dedication of our DNA. As I said earlier it’s not about waste management only, it’s about the quality of life and that includes many things,” he concludes.

The new HQ will also have a research centre, an amphitheatre, a learning centre. “The building will engage with the public and the community. The new building will stand for everything that Bee’ah represents,” Al Huraimel said.
