Terrifying moment a huge shark is trapped ON BOARD a fishing boat and thrashes desperately before crew are able to cut it free

A huge mako shark became trapped in between the railings of a fishing boat

The shark bit the metal railings, its mouth became bloodied and stained the deck

The fishermen hooked its head and then tied its fin with some rope to free it 

It was gradually lowered back into the water, ending an extraordinary ordeal

An incredible video has emerged of a huge shark trying to wiggle from a fishing boat after jumping on board. 

In the clip, taken off the coast of Long Island in New York state, fisherman look on in horror as the mako shark writhes around on the deck of the boat with its body trapped beneath the guard-rail.

The shark's mouth become bloodied after it had bit the rail several times as it struggles to release itself.
