Hyundai Rotem offers financing solution for Cairo Metro projects

  현대 로템이 이집트 교통부에 카이로 지하철 3호선의 새 차량 64대에 대한 금융 지원을 제의했다.

갈랄 알 사이드 이집트 교통부 장관과 윤순구 이집트 대사와의 회동에서는터널 지하철, 철도 

항만프로젝트 현안에 대하여 양국 사이의 협력을 증가하는데 촛점이 맞추어졌다.

이집트 터널청과 국제컨설턴트는 이 제의에 대하여 분석 평가할 예정이다.

아울러 한국 측은 카이로 지하철 5호선 프로젝트와 하마디~카이로(룩소) 신호시스템에 대해서도 

금융 지원을 제의했다.

Hyundai Rotem has presented the Egyptian Transport Ministry an offer for financing the acquisition of the 64 new trains for Cairo Metro Line 3.

The financing proposal was discussed during a meeting between Egyptian Minister of Transport Galal Al Saeed and Yoon Soon-Gu, South Korean ambassador to Cairo, focused on increasing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in tunneling, metro, railway, and port projects. The proposal will further be analysed and evaluated by an international consultant and Egypt’s National Authority for Tunnels (NAT).

The Korean side also proposed financing for Cairo Metro Line 5 project and the development of the signalling system on Nag Hammadi – Cairo (Luxor) rail line.
