회전교차로(回轉交叉路, Roundabout)
도로의 평면 교차 방식 중 하나이다. 1960년대 영국이 도입하기 시작. 처음에는 미국식으로 로터리(rotary)로 불렀지만, 최근에는 회전교차로라고 부른다.
회전교차로는 흔히 볼 수 있는 십자 교차로 대신 도로가 만나는 중심부에 교통섬을 두어 차량이 똑바로 가지 못하고 이 교통섬을 돌아가도록 만든 것이다. 회전교차로는 로터리와 통행 방법이 비슷하지만 크기가 로터리에 비해 작아 차량이 빨리 달리지 못하게 한 것이 특징이다 출처 위키백과

The department has launched a video to assist drivers in how to use both single- and multi-lane roundabouts whether in a vehicle, on a bicycle or on foot.
