미국 그린빌딩위원회(USGBC)가 2016년 건설분야 세계 10대 리드(LEED) 인증 시장을 선정해
발표했다. LEED 인증은 미국그린빌딩협의회에서 친환경건축물임을 증명하는 제도로
이번 선정에서 미국은 제외됐다.
중국은 대상 면적 34백만m2 프로젝트가 931개로 세계 1위 리드 시장으로 선정됐다.
캐나다 인도 브라질에 이어 한국은 5위에 올랐다.

미국 그린빌딩위원회(USGBC)의 환경성능평가제도
LEED 인증은 미국그린빌딩협의회에서 친환경건축물임을 증명하는 제도다.
건물의 용도와 지역에 따라 각각 충족해야 하는 항목들을 만족할 경우
등급이 매겨지고 해당하는 LEED 인증을 받을 수 있다
총 9가지 건축 유형별 LEED 의 종류가 있다.

USGBC has announced the Top 10 Countries for LEED in 2016, a list that highlights the leading countries, apart from the United States, that are making significant strides in building design, construction and market transformation.
These nations are demonstrating the exponential growth of LEED in all corners of the world and affirm an international commitment to the continued creation of a healthy and sustainable built environment for all. Global green building is expected to double every three years, according to the World Green Building Trends 2016 SmartMarket Report from Dodge Data & Analytics, which found that emerging economies like China, India and Brazil will be huge centers of green growth, with development projected up to sixfold over current green building levels.
The 2016 Top 10 Countries for LEED list mirrors these results. China moved into first place as the largest user of LEED, with 34.62 million gross square meters of certified LEED space. Canada, India, Brazil and the Republic of Korea rounded out the top five countries on the list, respectively. The analysis used to develop the list ranks countries in terms of cumulative commercial LEED-certified gross square meters of space as of December 2016.
