Forget the wheel clamp, security firm reveals stick on 'Barnacle' that blocks the entire windscreen
- Barnacle aims to replace the traditional car boot with an easy device
- The device is placed on windshield using suction cups with 750lbs of force
- Drivers call a specific number and can pay their fine with a credit card
- An operator will then give them a code to detach the device from the car
A fine isn't the only thing motorists worry about when they see a boot on their car-how much time it will take to remove the clamp is also a concern.
Now, New York-based Ideas That Stick has created a new device that can be easily removed by motorists after paying parking tickets over the phone.
Called ‘Barnacle’, this plastic sheet obstructs the driver’s view by attaching to the windshield with commercial grade suction cups and can only be removed by a code put into the integrated key pad.
