Google unveils the 'AI phone' to take on Apple: Pixel handsets and new $129 Home speaker will include new smart assistant

Google has unveiled a new range of phones and its eagerly awaited Home speaker with a built in smart assistant to take on Apple and Amazon.

The search giant showed off a plethora of products from phones to TV dongles and even a new home router to boost wifi speeds - and said AI was key to all of them. 

It says it hopes to use AI to create 'a personal Google for each and every user'.
