페루 고산지대를 달리는 이 ‘호텔 기차’에서 하룻밤 묵는 비용은 323파운드에서 시작한다. 우리 돈으로 50만 원이 훌쩍 넘는다. 시설도 호텔 같고, 가격도 고급 호텔 못지않다. 고대 잉카의 도시 쿠스코를 출발한 기차는 안데스 산맥을 따라 펼쳐지는 남아메리카의 고원지대를 달린다. 페루 남부도시 아레키파에도 선다. 유네스코 문화 유산으로 지정된 아름다운 풍광을 기차에서 감상할 수 있다.
