   한국 건설사들이 주도하고 있는 카타르 도하메트로 1단계 건설공사의 터널공사가 레드라인의 

남부구간을 TBM이 관통하므로서 100km가 완료됐다.

이는 잔여 11km 구간를 제외하고 실질적으로 90%의 마일스톤이 완료됐다는 것을 의미한다.

현재 도하 메트로 1단계는 41%의 공정율을 보이고 있다.

이중 골드라인은 약 27백만인시 무사고를 기록했다.

카타르레일은 2016년 말에 궤도 및 신호 설비시스템 공사의 착수를 기대하고 있으며 2020년 

1단계 공사의 완료를 목표로 하고 있다.

2030년에는 도하메트로, 루사일트램, GCC장거리철도 등 카타르 추진 철도교통인프라 사업이

모두 완료된다.

* 카타르 도하 메트로 현황

카타르 메트로 지하철 1단계 공사는 140억달러에 달하는 규모로 4개노선 5개 지하구간(레드 북부ㆍ레드 남부ㆍ

골드ㆍ그린ㆍ(블루)ㆍ주요 역사)으로 구성되어 있다. 

SK건설이 레드라인 북부공사(20억달러, 지분 41%)를  수주했으며 GS건설(25%)이 레드라인 남부공사(20억달러)

를 롯데건설도 레드라인 북부 6.7km구간을 수주했다.(1억 2천만불 규모)

삼성물산은 스페인 업체와 절반씩 투자해 2개 중앙역사 패키지 공사(14억달러)를 수주했으나 최근에 계약 해지됐다..

골드라인(45억달러)도 쌍용건설(28.33%)이 우선협상대상자로 선정되었다가 법정관리로 취소된 바 있다.

Qatar Rail has announced the completion of 100km of tunnelling across the Doha Metro project.

The milestone means 90% of tunnelling has now been completed, with 11km more required to complete all under sections of the landmark project.

The 100th kilometre was crossed by a tunnel boring maching (TBM) on the southern section of the Red Line.

The overall completion of Doha Metro now stands at 41%.

Saad Al Muhannadi, CEO, Qatar Rail and Samuel Adair McChesney, project director for the Gold Line - along with senior management and members of the Qatar Rail team were present at Al Waab Station on the Gold Line to mark the completion of the 100km of tunnelling.

Saad Al Muhannadi, said: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in the completion of tunnelling on the Gold Line which was achieved through nearly 27 million safe man-hours.

"While we strive to deliver our project on time and to schedule, we always aim to do so with the highest levels of occupational health and safety, to help safeguard our employees, partners and the wider public.

Qatar Rail is hoping, by the end of 2016, to move from construction into systems installation as track, power supply and signalling starts to be installed.

The first phase of the Doha Meto project is expected to be complete in 2020.

And by 2030, all three networks - Doha Metro, Lusail Tram and the long-distance rail (linking Qatar with the GCC Rail Network) - are expected to be complete.
