DES MOINES, Iowa —MidAmerican Energy released new time lapse video Monday showing the tallest land-based wind turbine ever in the USA being built here in Iowa.

The turbine tower went up in MidAmerican Energy's Adams wind farm in Adams County.  The structure uses reinforced concrete to reach the new height.

The video shows more than 31 weeks of construction sped up to 6 minutes of video.
