   영국 여성 싱어송라이터 아델(Adele,27)의 신곡 '헬로'(Hello) 뮤직비디오가 역대 최단기간 조회 수 10억 건 돌파해 싸이의 ‘강남스타일’을 앞질렀다.

22일(현지시각) 미국 언론에 따르면, 세계 최대 동영상 사이트 유튜브는 '헬로' 뮤직비디오가 지난해 10월 22일 업로드된 지 87일 만에 동영상 17편의 조회 건수가 10억 건을 돌파했다고 밝혔다. 이는 강남스타일이 갖고 있던 종전 최단 기간 10억뷰 기록(158일)을 71일이나 앞당긴 것이다.

아델의 정규 3집 앨범인 '25'<사진>는 1월 초까지 세계적으로 1500만장이 넘는 판매량을 올렸다. 앨범 타이틀곡 헬로는 빌보드 싱글 차트인 '핫 100'에서 10주 연속 1위를 차지했다.

최단 기간 조회 수 10억건 돌파 기록을 아델에게 내줬지만, 싸이의 강남스타일은 여전히 동영상 최다 시청 기록을 보유 중이다.

온라인 백과사전 ‘위키피디아’에 따르면, 강남 스타일은 22일 현재 조회 수 25억182만 5424건으로 2위 테일러 스위프트의 '블랭크 스페이스'(14억1657만413건)를 11억건 이상 앞서고 있다.

Sorry, Psy. Adele has outpaced the South Korean pop star on the race to 1 billion views on YouTube.

The streaming service announced Thursday that her music video for "Hello" greeted its 1 billionth view in 87 days, breaking the 158-day record held by Psy's "Gangnam Style."

"If anyone deserves it, it's Adele and that song," said Susanne Daniels, the head of original programming at YouTube.

YouTube said 17 videos have reached 1 billion views.

Other music videos in the billionaire club include Maroon 5's "Sugar," Major Lazer's "Lean On," OneRepublic's "Counting Stars," LMFAO's "Party Rock" and Sia's "Chandelier."

There are several music videos on the cusp of reaching 1 billion views, including Shakira's "Waka Waka," Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" and Ellie Goulding's "Love Me Like You Do."

YouTube said the feat is still rare, but newer music videos such as Katy Perry's "Roar" and Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" achieved it at a faster pace than older ones like Justin Bieber's "Baby" and Eminem's "Love The Way You Lie."

"Hello" spent its first 10 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.
