    중국이 올해 철도 인프라 건설에 8000억 위안(약 146조)을 투자한다. 

중국철도총공사(China Railway Construction Corp)는 17일 중국의 중부와 서부 지역 등 아직 개발이 덜 진행된 지역을 중심으로 철도공사 투자가 집중될 것이라고 밝혔다.

중국은 지난해 8238억 위안을 철도 분야에 투자했다. 이는 당초 목표했던 8000억 위안을 훌쩍 넘어선 규모다. 지난해 중국 대륙 전역에 새로 깔린 철로의 길이는 9531km에 달한다. 이 역시 매년 중국이 목표로 하는 8000km를 초과달성한 규모다.

중국은 최근 베이징(北京)~상하이(上海), 베이징~광저우(廣州) 등 철도망에 대한 투자를 늘리면서 물류 현대화를 꾸준히 추진해 왔다.

그러나 지난해 중국의 철도 운수 화물 물동량이 전년보다 10%가량 줄어들면서 사상 최대폭으로 감소했다. 차이신망(財新網)의 최근 보도에 따르면 지난해 전국 철도 운수 물동량은 34억t으로 전년 에 비해 10.53% 줄어들었다. 전국 철도 화물 운송량(화물 중량×수송 거리)도 2조4천200억t·㎞로 12% 줄어들었다.

BEIJING, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- China will invest 800 billion yuan (123 billion U.S. dollars) on railways in 2016, especially in the less developed central and western regions, rail authorities said on Sunday.

About 2.5 billion passengers traveled by train last year, up 10 percent for the third year running, said Sheng Guangzu, general manager of the China Railway Corp..

Non-container cargo transportation increased 18.7 percent in 2015 from the previous year and container cargo transportation rose 20.2 percent year on year.

China invested 823.8 billion yuan on railways in 2015, beating the full-year goal of 800 billion yuan, and put 9,531 km of new lines into operation, while the annual target was 8,000 km.
