   세계에서 가장 긴 철도 교량이 중국 남서부 구이저우성 칭수이강 계곡에 건설됐다. 

주경간 길이는 406m, 총연장은 2,171m 현수량이다. 높이로는 세계에서 2번째 기록이다. 

건설공사 중 40건 이상의 새로운 공법 제안이 제시된 가운데 괄목할만한 기술적 성과를 이루었다.

총 약 2억 4천만불의 공사비가 투입되었으며 총 29개월간의 공사 끝에 시민에 개방됐다.이 철도 

교량의 완공으로 구이저우성 수도인 구이양에서 웡안 현까지 160km가 38km로 단축되어 인근 지역의 

교통을 획기적으로 개선하게 됐다.

또 윈난성의 서부 바오산지구에는 2,470m의 또하나의 장대교량이 건설 중으로 내년에 완공되면 

또 다른 아시아 기록을 깰 것으로 보고 있다.

World's second highest suspension bridge opens to traffic in China

The 2,171-meter-long Qingshuihe bridge opened to traffic on Thursday in southwest China's Guizhou Province. It is suspended over 406 meters above a canyon in rocky karst terrain.

The bridge, which costs about 240 million U.S. dollars and has taken 29 months to construct, will greatly improve transportation links between the provincial capital of Guiyang and neighboring regions.

Another major bridge, at 2,470 meters, is under construction in Baoshan Prefecture in western Yunnan Province. It will set another record for Asia when it is completed next year.
