중국이 베이징(北京)과 허베이(河北)의 장자커우(張家口)를 잇는 고속철을 건설한다고 신경보(新京報)가 관계 당국을 인용해 5일 보도했다.
보도에 따르면 국가발전개혁위원회는 이미 이 고속철 프로젝트의 실행 가능성 연구 보고서를 비준했다.
'징장(京張·베이징과 장자커우) 고속철'로 불리는 이 고속철은 총연장 174㎞로 584억 1천만 위안(10조 4천495억 원)의 자금이 투입될 예정이다. 공사기간은 4년 6개월이다.
신경보는 시속 120∼350㎞로 달리게 될 이 고속철은 앞으로 두 도시를 1시간 만에 주파하게 될 것이라고 설명했다.
이번 프로젝트는 시진핑(習近平) 체제의 국가발전 전략 중 하나인 징진지(京津冀:베이징·톈진·허베이의 약칭) 일체화 계획의 일환으로 추진되는 것이지만, 동계올림픽 대비용이라는 관측도 나온다.
베이징은 지난 7월 말 열린 국제올림픽위원회(IOC) 총회에서 2022년 동계올림픽 개최지로 선정됐다. 이 올림픽은 베이징시와 베이징시 옌칭(延慶)현, 장자커우시가 공동으로 치른다.
그러나 빙상경기가 열리는 베이징에서 설상 경기가 치러지는 장자커우까지는 가장 빠른 기차로도 3시간15분이 소요돼 교통시설을 확보하는 것이 중요한 과제라는 지적이 제기돼왔다 (베이징=연합뉴스) 이준삼 특파원 jslee@yna.co.kr |
Construction of Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway to start in 2015
Construction of the much talked-about Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway will start in 2015. The project was scheduled to begin in August 2009, but it has been stalled because of a variety of changes made to high-speed railway construction plans by the Ministry of Railways.
In November 2014, a feasibility report on the construction of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway's crossing of Badaling Mountain was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. The following month, the preliminary design for the railway was approved by the Chinese Railway Corporation. Zhu Huigang, deputy secretary of the Beijing Railway Bureau, said that construction of the Badaling section would begin first.
According to the plan, the 174-kilometer-long high-speed railway will have nine stations, running from Beijing North Station to Zhangjiakou South Station. A branch line to Yanqing Station will also be built. The full railway, which includes 70-kilometer section through Beijing, will be completed in four and a half years.
Construction of the extension of the Beijing-Tianjin Interurban Railway, the Tianjin-Baoding Railway and the Zhangjiakou-Tangshan Railway will also start in 2015. The construction of the three railways will greatly reduce pressure on Beijing as the railway hub and will provide more convenient service to passengers travelling to the south and southwest.
