Innovative "More Sky" Windows Transform into Outdoor Seating for Small Apartments

In small dwellings, it can be a challenge to experience the beauty of natural light. Architect and designer Aldana Ferrer Garcia has created three different window concepts called More Sky that mitigates this issue. By simply twisting and expanding, their frameworks transform from conventional-looking windows into unique spaces to sit and enjoy the surrounding outdoor scenery. More Sky works with existing types of windows for easy installation while being specifically adapted to the human body.
Garcia had densely-populated cities in mind when creating More Sky. Because space is often at a premium in these environments, the windows function as both an architectural element and extension of a housing unit. It can offer a form of reprieve from the limited square footage, as well as a cozy place to collect your thoughts.
