These revealing shots, taken at temples in Angkor, Cambodia, show the striking yet haunting temples as they slowly crumble to ruins.
While they may have lost some of their former glory, the stunning buildings perfectly illustrate the beauty of the Cambodian landscape through the historic architecture.
The breathtaking range of temples includes the Ta Prohm temple, which was made famous in the Tomb Raider film starring Angelina Jolie, and the amazing carvings of Banteay Srei, which is considered the most beautiful of all, where the carvings are among the most intricate in the world.
Photographer Alex Stephen Teuscher said: 'The number of temples of the ancient mega-city of Angkor number over a thousand.
'The most magnificent is the Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious monument. It's a dream destination for photographers, with the awe-inspiring beauty of the temples.'
One of the most important archaeological sites in South East Asia, Angkor, which is located in the northern province of Siem Reap, stretches over 400 square kilometres and includes remains from the Khmer Empire.

The well-known Ta Prohm temple was made even more famous by its appearance in the Tomb Raider film
Although no Buddhas remain - most were stolen or removed - there are still four pools of the gallery of a thousand Buddhas, located within the Angkor grounds
The incredible carvings at Banteay Srei - the citadel of woman - are considered to be some of the most intricate anywhere in the world
In Preah Khan, which is one of the largest complexes of Angkor, the crumbling, overgrown corridors appear to be nearly endless

Surrounded by stone, the middle of the Ta Prohm temple is illuminated by streaks of sunlight. The temple was added to the World Heritage List in 1992
The Ta Prohm temple is one of the most-visited in Angkor because it's one of the few that has remained in relatively the same condition
Stunning trees can be seen growing out of the ruins at Ta Prohm, which helps to explain the temple's popularity among tourists

Along the corridors, which look as though they are an optical illusion (right), many intricate Hindu carvings can be found (left)
Two species of trees predominate in the overgrowth at Ta Prohm: silk-cotton trees and strangler fig trees
The Bayon temple is perhaps best known for its many smiling faces and stands at the centre of Angkor Thom
The exterior of the Bayon temple is known for its striking expression of the Baroque style of Khmer architecture
The Bayon temple has been overgrown with vividly-hued moss, which stands out in striking opposition to the stone facade
