Over 2600 entries were submitted to the world-wide competition with the judges narrowing it down to Top 101

Australians won a number of top spots at the competition, taking home the crown for photographer of the year

Perth man Luke Austin won the top prize taking home the US$5000 prize money

Mr Austin has spent years taking stunning scenic shots in Australia, Canada and New Zealand

He also came second in the competition for International Landscape photograph of the Year

선정 우승팀을 가렸는데 올해는 호주팀 퍼스 맨과 루크 오스틴이 우승해 5000불의 

상금을 받았다.


루크 오스틴은 이 놀라운 경관들을 찍기 위해 수년간을 호주 캐나다 뉴질랜드를 돌아

다녔으며  4장의 사진으로 심사위원들을 현혹시켰다.


그는 올해 국제 경관 사진전에서도 2등상을  수상한 바 있다.

Huge wind-battered trees and enormous blue waves crashing into the sea have been crowned amongst the best landscape photographs in the world.


While every image tells its own story, Australian snapper Luke Austin scooped the top award at the International Landscape Photographer of the Year awards.


Over 2500 talented landscape photographers from across the globe competed but Perth man, Mr Austin, wowed the judges with his four stunning shots.

Based in Perth, Luke Austin took home the International Landscape Photographer of the Year award for this image of the heavily battered southern tip of the South Island of New Zealand titled Windswept

'I prefer minimal landscape where there isn't too much clutter. It's in the simplicity,' said Luke Austin

Mr Austin deservedly took home the US$5000 prize money after spending years taking amazing scenic shots in Australia, Canada and New Zealand, capturing natural landscapes at their best.


Surprised by his win, Mr Austin who also won second place for International Landscape photograph of the Year, modestly told Daily Mail Australia that he still believes he has a lot to learn.


‘Australia is where I started to learn how to photograph. Australia has a huge variation of different landscapes that you can photograph, its as good as anywhere else in the world.

'I'm personally hard on myself because I always expect more, I try to keep getting better and better,' he said.

Fellow Aussie Luke Tscharke was the recipient of the International Landscape Photograph of the Year, a landscape and nature photographer based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia.

His black and white landscape featuring lightning at Barossa Valley in South Australia was selected as the best photograph by the judges.  

The recipient of the Long Exposure Award was Sydney based Fine Art and Conceptual Photographer Grant Galbraith. 

And Wollongong-based Warren Keelan won third place for the International Landscape Photographer competition, for his submission of a collection of powerful wave photographs.
