독일 저먼윙스 여객기가 24일(이하 현지시간) 프랑스 남부 알프스에서 추락해 탑승객 148명이 모두 숨진 것으로 보인다. 프랑스 뉴스전문채널인 BFMTV는 저먼윙스 에어버스 A320 여객기가 이날 오전 11시께 프랑스 남부 알프스 바르셀로네트에서 추락했다고 보도했다. 이 여객기는 오전 9시55분 스페인 바르셀로나공항에서 출발해 독일 뒤셀도르프로 향하던 중 추락했다. 사고 원인은 아직 알려지지 않았다. 프랑스 내무부는 저먼윙스 여객기가 오전 10시45분 조난 신호를 보냈다고 밝혔다. 사고기는 루프트한자 계열 저가 항공사 저먼윙스 소속으로, 승객 142명, 조종사 2명, 승무원 4명 등 총 148명이 탑승했다. 프랑수아 올랑드 프랑스 대통령은 "148명이 타고 있었으며 사고 상황을 볼 때 생존자는 없는 것 같다"고 말했다. 탑승객 상당수는 독일인으로 알려졌으며 한국인의 탑승 여부는 아직 확인되지 않았다. 수색 구조팀은 사고 현장으로 출발했으며 베르나르 카즈뇌브 프랑스 내무부 장관도 사고 수습을 지휘하기 위해 현장으로 향했다. 여객기가 해발 2천ｍ가량 되는 알프스 산맥에 추락해 구조팀의 현장 접근이 어려운 상황이다. 내무부는 "사고 지역이 멀고 접근이 어려워서 수색 구조 작업이 아주 힘들고 오래 걸릴 것"이라고 예상했다. On Tuesday, March 24, a Germanwings airliner was heading from Barcelona, Spain to Dusseldorf, Germany when it crashed in the French Alps. It has been identified as Flight 4U9525. There were 142 passengers and six crew members aboard the flight at the time. According to CNN, the plane crashed near Digne les Bains in the Alpes de Haute Provence around 5:47 a.m. ET and rescue teams have already started locating debris. French President Francois Hollande was quoted saying they expect to find no survivors, and French Prime Minister Manuel Valls also noted they fear all crash victims to be dead. Germanwings is a German airline that’s a direct subsidiary of Lufthansa. The plane involved in the crash was a twin-engine Airbus A320. No cause for the crash has been revealed, but CNN aviation analyst Mary Schiavo said that crashes mid-flight, as was the case here, are rare with the majority of incidents taking placing during takeoff or landing. |
