앳킨스, 중국 '창사 도심복합개발사업' 설계 수주 Atkins wins contract to design mixed-use development in China

영국 다국적 설계사인 앳킨스가 중국 후난성의 창사 도심복합개발사업의 설계를 수주했다.

놀스스타 델타지역은 창사 놀스스타 부동산개발사에 의해서 개발되며 406,000m2 지역에 

놀스스타센터를 조성하게 된다.

앳킨스사는 워터프론트사업의 설계를 수행할 계획이다.

이 개발계획에는 400m높이의 랜드마크 초고층 건물과 컨벤션센터, 백화점 그리고 5성급 호텔이

들어서게 된다.

보행자 우선 친환경계획으로 건물에서 시민광장으로 도보로 이동 가능한 동선으로 건설된다.

Atkins has secured a contract to design the centrepiece development for a new expansion project in Changsha in China’s Hunan province. The Northstar Delta site will be developed by Changsha Northstar Real Estate Development Company on behalf of the government for the city of Changsha. The project will lead to the creation of the Northstar Changsha Centre covering a 406,000 square metre floor area. Atkins will be responsible for delivering architecture design services for the waterfront development. The development will feature a supertall 400m high landmark office tower, regional convention centre, department stores, a five-star hotel and serviced apartments. Atkins senior design director Ian Milne said: "Connectivity is a major concept in our design and we want to connect not only places, but people. "The civic plaza will be located between the proposed iconic landmark tower and convention centre and will be an ideal meeting point due to its convenient location, plus the wide range of cultural and recreational activities that can be staged there." The development will be pedestrian friendly, with a major civic plaza linking the buildings through a network of elevated walkways. Vertical recesses will be built up the sides of the towers to make them appear more slender, while the tower tops will feature a stepped design. The project will incorporate an array of green features. The convention centre in particular, will offer passive energy efficiency through its careful orientation and elegant roof design.
