Cool khaki
One of the easiest winter/spring looks is this season’s relaxed military style. Ways to incorporate the trend into your wardrobe include relaxed cropped trousers, a lightweight parka or a silky shirt, worn with sparkles.
Sparkle in sequins
The return of sequins to the fashion scene is fun and surprising. For the best way to wear it, look to Burberry, which has teamed delicate sparkly skirts with punchy denim jackets.

Tailored tuxedos
It’s been around for a couple of seasons, but with the huge emphasis on the Sixties and Seventies this spring, the tuxedo suit or jacket now has added glamour. It’s either glitzy and sequined, or chic and block. Try a white, boxy style to add androgynous drama to a black dress or jumpsuit.
Monochrome magic
Black and white fit in so well with the grown-up, tailored aesthetic for 2015. The best way to approach it is with good quality separates, which you can wear even when the monochrome trend is long gone.

Power flowers
This season’s flowers are big, bold and bright, including vivid, oversized prints at Michael Kors and pink-toned petals on a trouser suit at Victoria Beckham. But try to choose one outstanding item and keep everything else pared back to stop it looking too messy.

Daring dots
One of those utterly versatile prints that work as both a fun, feminine print and also a sophisticated classic, polka dots large and small are a big spring/summer trend this year.
At their most fun, they come as giant monochrome spots on girlish shift dresses, as at Dolce & Gabbana, but the more wearable version by Ralph Lauren featured white dots on navy in a flawless bias-cut gown.
Pair a bold polka print with a pretty blouse as shown, for a chic, but youthful look.

Ballerina beauty
Frothy, beaded chiffon skirts, tiered tulle dresses and glinting organza capes are all part of this return to romanticism, seen everywhere from Burberry.
But the message is to add a strong, casual edge to tone down the sugary taste. Try some powerful heels with a delicate frock.
Gladiator heels
One shoe trend that just won’t go away is the gladiator sandal, and this season’s incarnations feature soaring heels and lacing that can go all the way up to the knee.

Nautical stripes
for next season there is an abundance of seafaring navy, red and white stripes. You could also try an oversized double-breasted blazer. This top is flattering and works well tucked into trousers or skirts.
Pretty pleats
Update Fifties-style full skirts that have dominated for a few seasons with a pleated knee-length or midi skirt.
