독일의 글로벌 에너지관리 전문기업 슈나이더 일렉트릭(www.schneider-electric.com)은 최근 컨소시엄 형태로 프랑스 보르도 부근 세스타스 지역의 태양광 발전소와 초고압 변전소 건설 수주 계약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.   이번 계약은 약 2억 8500만 유로 규모로 유럽에서 가장 큰 태양광 발전 프로젝트다.   슈나이더 일렉트릭은 프랑스 건설사인 에파주(Eiffage), 독일 태양광 구조물 설치업체인 크리너(Krinner)와 함께 컨소시엄을 이루어 이번 입찰에 참여했다. 슈나이더 일렉트릭은 해당 태양광 발전소에서 생산될 에너지를 관리, 제어 및 감독하며, 이를 위해 태양광 패널부터 고압네트워크까지의 전기 변환 시스템을 관리하는 완전 솔루션을 제공할 예정이다.   또한 이 솔루션에 대한 서비스 역시 제공하여 20년간 설비 가용율(equipment availability rate)을 높은 수준으로 유지하도록 관리한다. 프랑스 신재생에너지 선두 기업인 네오엔이 발주한 이번 프로젝트는 총 300MW의 피크 용량을 제공할 예정이며, 2015년 10월에 완공될 예정인 발전소는 초고압 파워 그리드와 바로 연결되어 매년 보르도 인구 전체의 주간 소비 전력을 뛰어넘는 350 GWh이상의 전력을 생산할 예정이다 슈나이더 일렉트릭

 

 

By Michel Rose (Reuters) - France has made up some lost ground against its neighbors with the start to construction of what will be Europe's biggest photovoltaic solar power plant.   Solar power capacity has grown slowly in France compared to Germany, Spain or Italy. It had 5,095 MW of photovoltaic capacity in June, which accounted for only 1 percent of its energy consumption in the first half of the year, and compares with nearly 37,000 MW in Germany.   The new plant at Cestas is a 360 million euro ($450 million) project capable of supplying electricity to a city the size of nearby Bordeaux for a year.   The project is managed by Neoen, a Paris-based company created by Jacques Veyrat, the former head of commodities trading giant Louis Dreyfus.   The 300-megawatt, ground-mounted installation will be connected to the grid in October 2015 and provide electricity for 105 euros per megawatt-hour over 20 years, a price showing solar is becoming increasingly competitive, its developers say.   Xavier Barbaro, Neoen's chief executive, compared it to state-owned utility EDF's Hinkley Point C project in Britain, which will receive a guaranteed power price of 92.5 pounds, or 117 euros per MWh for 35 years.   "We're below the price of new nuclear electricity in Britain. So the parity between nuclear energy which is costing more and solar which continues to drop is happening now, in 2014," Barbaro told Reuters.   "Four or five years ago, nobody thought that would be possible before 2020," he said.
