러시아 모스크바에서 중국 베이징을 연결하는 고속철도 프로젝트가 추진되고 있다.   14일 중국 언론 신경보(新京報)에 따르면 리커창 총리는 13일(현지시간) 러시아 모스크바에서 드미트리 메드베데프 총리와 회담을 마친 후 중국 업체 주도로 모스크바와 카잔을 잇는 770㎞ 구간에 고속철을 건설하는 100억 달러 규모의 계약을 체결했다.   모스크바-카잔 구간은 2018년 러시아 월드컵 축구대회에 맞춰 건설되는데 중국베이처(中國北車), 화웨이 등 중국 업체들의 고속철 차체 및 핵심 부품, 운영시스템을 활용해 건설된다.   이 공사는 열차 속도를 시속 400㎞로 끌어올려 현재 13시간이 걸리는 이동시간을 3시간 30분으로 단축할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.   현재 러시아에는 고속철도가 소치 동계올림픽 때 건설된 163km 길이의 1개 구간 밖에 없다. 러시아는 오는 2030년까지 2만km의 새로운 철로 건설을 계획하고 있고, 이 가운데 500km를 고속철로 채울 계획이다.   구체적으로 러시아-페테르스부르크(658km), 모스크바-예카테린부르크(1595km) 등의 고속철 라인이 추진되고 있다. 고속철 신흥 강국으로 부상한 중국은 독일, 프랑스, 일본 등과 러시아 시장을 놓고 치열한 경쟁을 펼치고 있다.   중국은 특히 모스크바-카잔 구간을 장기적으로 베이징까지 연결한다는 구상을 갖고 있다.   이와 관련, 중국 고속철 세일즈맨을 자처해온 리 총리는 메드베데프 총리와의 회담에서 "모스크바에서 카잔까지 연결하는 고속철 프로젝트에 주력한 후 장기적으로 이 노선을 베이징까지 잇는 유라시아 고속철도로 발전시켜 나가자"고 제안했다.   중국 지도부는 중국과 중앙아시아, 유럽을 관통해 인구 30억 명의 '유라시아 경제벨트'를 하나로 묶는 '21세기 신(新)실크로드 구상'을 강력히 추진하고 있다. 고속철도는 신실크로드 구상을 현실화할 동맥인데, 시진핑 국가주석과 리 총리가 해외 순방 때마다 고속철 세일즈에 주력하고 있다.   한편 양국 총리는 이날 회담에서 △2015년까지 무역규모 1000억 달러로 확대 △ 1천500억 위안(약 26조 원) 규모 통화스와프 체결 △동부 노선 가스공급 사업을 비롯한 에너지협력 등에 합의했다. http://www.mt.co.kr/view/mtview.php?type=1&no=2014101416212868986&outlink=1 머니투데이 베이징(중국)=송기용 특파원

15 October 2014 China is to build Russia's first high-speed railway line under an investment agreement signed by the two countries.   In collaboration with Russian firms, Chinese railway companies will build a 770km high-speed line between Moscow and Kazan.   The agreement involves National Development and Reform Commission of China, Russia's Ministry of Transport, China Railway Corporation and Russian Railways (RZD). China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei was quoted by TASS Russia News Agency as saying: "Russian-Chinese cooperation is mutually beneficial. It is based on mutual trust and is not directed against third countries."   "Russian-Chinese cooperation is mutually beneficial. It is based on mutual trust and is not directed against third countries."   The Moscow-Kazan high-speed line comes under the Moscow-Beijing railway project which aims to construct 7,000km-long railway that connects Russia, Kazakhstan and China.   The 770km line spanning six Russian regions will reduce the travel time between Moscow and Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan, from 11.5hr to 3.5hr. The trains will travel at a speed of 400km/h, reported China Daily.   The railway project is one among the 39 agreements being signed during Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's visit to Russia.   Want China Times reported that the other projects signed during the meet include the co-development of aircraft and heavy helicopters, exploration of two natural gas fields, construction of a new natural gas pipeline and a part of the facilities at a Chinese nuclear plant, and expansion of Russia's Zarubino port among others.   The countries have also signed a currency swap agreement that allows the exchange of JPY150bn ($24.4bn) and RUR815bn ($20m) between the central banks of China and Russia. railway-technology
