A second Sydney Harbour rail crossing, running under the

harbour, to the West of the Harbour Bridge.

This would form part of the Sydney Rapid Transit Line, incorporating the North West Rail Link. That's Rouse Hill to Bankstown, via Chatswood and the CBD, with a new train station in North Sydney and three new stops through the CBD, including Pitt Street. The project promises 60 per cent more capacity on Sydney trains in the morning peak. abc.net.au

 

호주 뉴사우스웨일즈 주 교통부는 총 사업비 150억 달러 규모의「시드니 항 철도 횡단 프로젝트(Sydney Second Harbour Rail Crossing Project)」중 해저터널 공사를 추진할 계획이라고 밝혔다. 이 공사는 시드니 항과 중심업무지구 사이에 열차가 통과할 수 있도록 해저터널을 건설하는 프로젝트다. 이 외에도 교차로, 신호장치 등이 추가로 확충될 예정이다. 2012년 2분기에 첫 발표된 이번 철도횡단 프로젝트는 그 해 12월 정부기관으로부터 계획안이 승인되었으며 2016년 3분기 입찰공고 및 2019년 완공을 목표로 하고 있다. 출처:  해외 건설협회
