전인지, LPGA투어 KEB 하나은행 챔피언십 우승 마지막 라운드 6언더파 66타 16언더파 272타 기록 2위와 3타차 2년만에 우승, 고국에서 부활해 기쁨이 두배 박성현 3위 전인지는 14일 인천 스카이72 골프클럽 오션 코스(파72)에서 열린 LPGA투어 KEB 하나은행 챔피언십에서 최종합계 16언더파 272타를 기록하며 단독 2위 찰리 헐(잉글랜드)을 3타 차로 따돌리고 우승을 차지했다. 전인지는 14일 인천 스카이72 골프클럽 오션 코스(파72)에서 열린 LPGA투어 KEB 하나은행 챔피언십 최종 4라운드에서 버디 7개와 보기 1개를 묶어 6언더파 66타를 기록했다. 이로써 전인지는 최종합계 16언더파 272타를 기록하며 단독 2위 찰리 헐(잉글랜드)을 3타 차로 따돌리고 정상에 올랐다. 전날까지 선두에 2타 뒤진 공동 4위로 출발한 전인지는 버디쇼를 펼치며 헐에게 3타 차 앞선 채 경기를 먼저 마쳤다. 챔피언조에 속한 헐이 마지막 18번홀(파5)에서 두 번째 샷을 벙커에 빠뜨리면서 전인지의 시즌 첫 우승이 확정됐다. 전인지의 LPGA투어 우승은 2016년 9월 메이저대회 에비앙 챔피언십 이후 2년1개월 만이자 통산 3승째다. 지난주 국내에서 열린 UL인터내셔널 우승에 이은 겹경사. US여자오픈 우승을 발판으로 LPGA 투어에 입성한 2016년 신인왕과 최저타수상(베어 트로피)을 수상하며 화려하게 데뷔했다. 하지만 이후 좀처럼 추가 우승이 나오지 않았다. 2017년에는 준우승만 5번, 3위를 2번 기록했다. 아쉬운 '2인자 징크스' 속에 결국 올해 들어 슬럼프가 찾아왔다. 지난 5월 킹스밀 챔피언십 공동 2위가 올 시즌 최고 성적이다. 뜻갚은 이번 우승으로 재도약의 발판을 마련한 전인지는 그동안의 마음고생이 생각난듯 인터뷰 도중 감격에 겨워 눈물을 흘리기도 했다. 공동선두로 출발했던 헐은 이날 1언더파 71타를 기록, 최종합계 13언더파 275타로 2위에 만족해야 했다. 세계랭킹 1위 박성현(25)은 버디 5개와 보기 2개로 3언더파 69타를 기록하며 최종합계 12언더파로 공동 3위에 이름을 올렸다. 세계랭킹 2위 아리야 주타누간(태국)이 박성현과 같은 공동 3위로 대회를 마치면서 박성현은 9주 연속 세계랭킹 1위를 지키게 됐다. 교포 이민지(22·호주)와 대니엘 강(26·미국)이 주타누간과 함께 공동 3위. 디펜딩 챔피언 고진영(23)은 이날 보기 없이 버디만 8개 잡아내는 뒷심을 보인 끝에 최종합계 11언더파 277타로 7위로 대회를 마쳤다. 배선우(24)는 최종합계 10언더파 278타로 공동 8위를 기록하며 KLPGA 투어의 자존심을 지켰다. 정현석 기자 hschung@sportschosun.com 조선일보 출처 : http://news.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2018/10/15/2018101500381.html |

With a final-round 66, In Gee Chun captured her first LPGA Tour victory of the season at the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship on Sunday at SKY72 Golf & Resort, Ocean Course. The 24-year-old South Korean native carded seven birdies, along with a lone bogey, to finish three strokes clear of 54-hole leaders Charley Hull, who placed second, and Danielle Kang, who was four shots adrift.
“Before this week, I won 13 times as a professional,” said Chun, who clinched the third LPGA win of her career. “I am glad that I am done with the No. 13. I really hate that number.”
Sung Hyun Park tied for third, ending the week level with Kang, Minjee Lee and Ariya Jutanugarn.

In Gee Chun shed tears on Sunday in relief after claiming her first win on the LPGA Tour since 2016 The Evian Championship. Since then, Chun expressed that she had experienced a difficult time reacting to negative comments about her form shared on the internet and rumors that spread about her every move.

“I was really frustrated with myself for responding or reacting to those comments on line, and so I think that there was a factor there that pushed me down, and I didn't want to get back up again. I was kind of scared because I didn't know how I would act in front of people again, but then I didn't want to act like somebody else. I always wanted to be true to myself and I wanted to be a genuine person,” Chun said openly during her winner’s press conference.
Chun, who was a member of the triumphant Team Korea at last week’s UL International Crown, also shed tears when talking about how much this win meant to her and her family, particularly how excited she was to share this heartfelt victory with her ailing grandmother.
“My grandma, it used to be part of her daily life to watch me play,” said Chun, whose grandmother has been hospitalized for the past few months. “I really, really wanted a win so I can tell her I won, and I wanted to tell her that I loved her. I'm really happy today that I was able to win and that I can tell her, and I'm sure that she's happy for me at the hospital.”
