이탈리아 제노아 항구도시를 지나는 공용 중인 A10 고속도로가 화요일 아침 붕괴되었다
일부 차들이 붕괴로 인해 갇혔을 수도 있다는 우려가 제기되면서 긴급 구조대가 현장에 투입되고 있다.
이탈리아의 다닐로 토니넬리 교통부 장관은 로이터통신이 인용한 성명에서 이번 사건을 "비극적 사고"라고 표현했다.
목격자 다비데 리치는 "다리가 그의 차에서 20미터 떨어진 곳에서
"교량의 중앙 교각이 무너지고, 그 다음에 주변 교각과 교량 상부가 붕괴됐다."고 말했다.
방금 들어온 보도에 따르면 이번 붕괴사고로 수십명이 사망한 것으로 알려졌다.
이번 사고로 1960년대에 건설된 폰트 모란디(Ponte Morandi) 사장교의 주경간을 포함 높이 100m의 교량 약 200m 구간이 붕괴됐으며 정확한 붕괴 원인은 아직 알려지지 않고 있다.

Italy’s Transport Minister Danilo Toninelli described the incident as an “immense tragedy” in a statement cited by Reuters.
Eyewitness Davide Ricci told La Stampa that the bridge collapsed just 20 meters away from his car. “First the central pillar crumbled, then everything else came down,” he said, adding that he his stuck on the upstanding section of the bridge while emergency crews attend the scene.
The bridge, also known as the Ponte Morandi, was built in 1968 but was closed for redevelopment work in 2016.
