A Peruvian fan, who rescued an injured puppy in Sochi during the World Cup, is looking for a way to be reunited with the animal to which he became so attached. Help is needed for this story to have a happy ending.
Ricardo Lazo and a group of other Peruvian national team supporters were dining at a restaurant in Sochi not far from the Fisht stadium when a little mongrel puppy ambled over to them.

"혹시 페루에 온다면 내 러시아에 두고 온 강아지 좀 구해주세요"
페루의 축구 팬은 이번 월드컵 경기 동안에 소치에서 한 강아지를 구조해줬다.
이번 월드컵 기간에 소치에서 다친 강아지를 구조해준 페루의 한 축구 팬은 그렇게 애착을 갖게 된 강아지과 재회할 방법을 찾고 있다.
이 이야기가 행복한 결말을 맺기 위해서는 도움이 필요할 것이다.
전말은 이렇다
페루 축구팬인 리카르도 라조와 다른 페루 국가 대표팀을 응원하는 사람들은 피슈트 경기장에서 멀지 않은 곳에 있는 한 식당에서 식사를 하고 있었는데 그 때 작은 강아지가 그들에게 다가왔다.
"처음에 나는 그저 잃어버린 개라고 생각했지만, 그 다음에 그 강아지가 버려진 유기견이라는 것을 알았어요,"라고 그는 이어 "그 강아지 뒷다리를 다친 것을 알았다"고 라조는 말했다.
"나는 강아지를 팔에 안고 동물병원에 가서 검사를 받았습니다"
그의 새로운 친구를 놓아 줄 수 없었던, 라조는 밤새 강아지를 자신의 방으로 데리고 갔고 호텔 직원들 중 반대하는 사람은 아무도 없었다.
라조는
"저는 동물을 사랑하고 모든 생물은 살기 좋은 곳과 그것을 사랑하고 아끼는 누군가가 있어야 한다고 생각해요. 그래서 저는 이 강아지가 어떤 특별한 이유로 저를 찾았다고 생각했습니다"라고 설명했다.
페루는 소치에서 호주를 2대 0으로 이겼지만, 멀리 떨어진 남미에 있는 고국으로 돌아갈 때가 되었다. "저는 개를 데리고 가고 싶었지만, 서류 때문에 개를 데려가기가 어려웠습니다"라고 말했다.
라조는 강아지를 수의사에게 데려가는데 성공했고, 지역 포보독 보호소에 넣기 위해 돈을 지불했다. 라조는 러시아어를 전혀 이해하지 못한 채 온라인 통역사에게만 의존하면서 모든 준비를 마쳤다.
페루로 돌아간 리카르도는 자신이 구한 러시아 강아지와 재회할 수 있다는 희망을 잃지 않고 있다. 그는 아직 강아지 이름을 정하지는 않았지만 분명히 러시아어로 될 것이라고 말했다.
동물보호소의 포보독 직원들은 강아지가 페루로 여행하기 위해 필요한 모든 서류를 준비되었기를 기대하며, 현재 페루행 비행기를 탈 사람을 찾고 있다.

“At first I thought that it was somebody’s lost dog, but then I saw that nobody was looking for it,” Lazo told RT via Skype from Lima. He said that he quickly realized that the poor thing wasn’t well, with one of its hind paws injured.
“I took the animal in my arms to inspect it and it stuck like a limpet to me after that,” Ricardo recalled. Being unable to let go of his new friend, Lazo took the dog to his room for the night and no-one among the hotel staff objected.

“I love animals and I think that every creature has to have a good place to live and someone, who loves and cares for it. Therefore, I thought that this dog had found me for some special reason,” he explained.
Peru beat Australia 2-0 in Sochi, but failed to qualify for the play-offs, and it was time for the kind-hearted football fan to return to his home country in faraway Latin America. “I wanted to take the dog with me, but it was hard to organize because of all the paperwork,” he said.
However, he still managed to take the mongrel to a vet and paid for it to be placed in a local PovoDog shelter. Lazo made all of the arrangements without any understanding of the Russian language, relying solely on an online translator.
Back in Peru, Ricardo isn’t losing hope of one-day being reunited with the Russian puppy he saved. He hasn’t yet decided out a name for it, but said it will definitely be something Russian.
The staff at PovoDog say they’re eager to prepare all the required papers for the dog to travel and are now looking for somebody, who is flying to Peru and would agree to take it with them. “This story just has to have a happy ending,” the animal shelter wrote on its Facebook page.
