None of the officials at the Hard Rock Hollywood construction celebration this week showed Pete Townshend's style, but as is tradition at Hard Rock International events, they did their best to smash their guitars with enthusiasm.

The Seminole Tribe of Florida kicked off the preview of new tower at the Hollywood, Fla., Hard Rock resort that will add 638 rooms and a lagoon-style poolside “Bora Bora Experience” that will be the first of its kind in the U.S., according to James Allen, chairman of Hard Rock International.

The project will create 2,000 construction jobs and 3,000 permanent jobs to build the 450-foot tall guitar shaped tower. The guitar-tower will be built to scale with dimensions that accurately reflect those of a real guitar.

The existing 5,500 seat Hard Rock Live venue will be demolished this coming March and replaced with a 7,000 seat venue.

In a statement announcing the ceremony, Seminole Tribe Chairman Marcellus Osceola Jr said: "Our ancestors and elders welcomed curious tourists to our Florida reservations, and today's members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida will soon welcome visitors from all over the world to what will become a landmark destination."

The project is expected to be complete by mid-2019.
