완공 시 세계 최장의 해상 교량이 될 쉐이크 자베르 해상교량(메인교량)이
2018년 말 완공 예정이다.
총 연장 36km 24억불 규모로 현대건설 등이 건설 중에 있으며
현재 80%의 공정율을 보이고 있다.
한편 GS건설은 인접한 쉐이크 자베르 해상교량(도하링크)를 시공 중에 있다.

Kuwait's Sheikh Jaber Causeway is 80% complete, and on track to open in 2018, it has been revealed.
The cable-stayed bridge is a crucial component of Kuwait's 2035 Vision, and is "one of the longest cross-sea bridges worldwide", Kuwaiti state agency KUNA reported.

Worth $2.4bn (KWD738m), the development will link Al-Sabiya City with Madinat Al-Hareer (Silk City), reducing travel time from 60 minutes to 15.
Spanning 36km in length, the project will be launched by the end of 2018.
The development is being implemented based on instructions issued by HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah "to turn Kuwait into a financial and commercial" centre, the report continued.
