Mediclinic already has 12 facilities in the UAE

by Michael Fahy  Mediclinic Middle East has announced plans to build a new general hospital in Dubai. The company said the new Mediclinic Parkview hospital will serve the southern part of the city. It will be similar in size and scope to its existing Dubai facility, built on a 500,000ft2 site on Umm Suqeim Road, between the junctions of Al Khail Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. Once complete in 2018, it will have an initial capacity of around 150 beds and six operating theatres. It is expected to employ more than 800 staff. David Hadley, CEO of Mediclinic Middle East, said: "This new hospital will bring the same level of service and treatment that our patients have come to expect from Mediclinic's existing hospitals in Dubai Healthcare City and Al Garhoud, but in a far more convenient location for those living in 'New Dubai'. "At an approximate cost of AED700m ($190.5m) , this project represents Mediclinic Middle East's most substantial investment in the UAE healthcare market to date, and is testament to our confidence in the country's economy and continued growth."
