Heavy-equipment horseplay injures observer

An excavator operator in England has been found guilty and sentenced for violating the Health and Safety at Work Act (the British version of OSHA) after he deliberately drove his machine into another excavator on a site in southwest London last August. After taunting another operator, he then threw his excavator into reverse and crushed a nearby worker into a wall. Here's what happened:

영국 건설현장 사고낸 굴삭기 운전자가 유죄 선고받아

(미 안전관리 기준인 OSHA의 영국판 기준 적용)

사고 굴삭기 운전자는 다른 굴삭기 운전자를 비아냥 거리며 운전하다 이윽고 

굴삭기가 전복되며 옆에 있던 현장 작업자를 벽쪽으로 밀어부쳤다.

다행히도 현장 작업자는 생명을 건졌고 굴삭기 운전자는 6개월 징역형과 2년 취업금지 

그리고 40시간 무급봉사 명령을 받았다.

The co-worker survived and on February 16, 2018 Daividas Rupeikae was sentenced to six months in jail, suspended for two years and was ordered to undertake 40 hours of unpaid work. Rupeikae was also ordered to pay costs of $700 and a victim surcharge
