By Mark Duell for MailOnline

This is the best that London's skyline has to offer - in 16 outstanding panoramic photographs of the capital as you've never seen it before.

Graham Charlie Edwards took the spectacular pictures from a mixture of public spots and private flats, from the City to Primrose Hill, for a new book.

It features what could be the best view from any London home - the one enjoyed by Jeffrey Archer, from his Albert Embankment penthouse.

The view from Lord Archer’s multi-million pound flat next the River Thames takes in the likes of Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye.

Mr Edwards, 52, of Knightsbridge, told MailOnline: ‘I noticed him talking in his apartment, and he likes to sit on a sofa with that view behind him.

‘I dropped off a mock-up of my book before it was printed, and asked him, “do you think I could come up and take a view from your penthouse”?

‘To my astonishment he agreed. I waited for a good day, and I went up there and I spent an amazing hour taking pictures. He's got a 360-degree view.

‘When I had the book printed, I sent a copy to him - and he asked me for three more, which he bought from me. If you don't ask, you don’t get.’

The penthouse owned by Lord Archer - who has bought three copies of Mr Edwards's book - is on a peninsula giving stunning views along the river.

Mr Edwards has been working on the book of panoramic photographs for five years, and spoke to various people about gaining access to their flats.

Six of the images were taken from private homes, with Mr Edwards wanting to study rare views of the London skyline that the public cannot usual see

Also to be seen in the self-published book are views north from Bankside, east from The Mall, south from Clerkenwell and east from Pimlico.

Lord Archer, 74, is notorious for being jailed for four years in 2001 after being found guilty of perjury and perverting the course of justice.

His apartment is in a building which has an average flat value of £2.8million. The book, London Vistas, is available for £25 by clicking here.

By John Hutchinson for MailOnline

You certainly wouldn't mind a slow boat to China if you were bobbing along this river.

While the Great Wall Of China is the very obvious tourist destination, the river-town of Wuzhen is one that should be on the must-see list if you are in the area.

Located in the centre of the six ancient towns south of Yangtze River, 17 kilometres (10.56 miles) north of the city of Tongxiang, Wuzhen displays its history in its ancient stone bridges floating on mild water, its stone pathways between the mottled walls and its delicate wood carvings.

Wuzhen has a population of 60,000, although only 12,000 of these are believed to be permanent residents.

The town is two kilometres long and separated into six districts; traditional workshops district, traditional local-styled dwelling houses district, traditional culture district, traditional food and beverage district, traditional shops and stores district, and water township customs and life district.

And today people from all over the world will be able to enjoy its beauty as the world's first internet conference is held there, focusing on topical issues in cyberspace, including cyber security, online anti-terrorism crackdown, mobile network and cross-border e-commerce.

All the buildings face onto the river, the waterways are the streets and the riverbanks are where the markets spring from. Civilisation of the town dates back some 7,000 years and it lies within the triangle formed by Hangzhou, Suzhou and Shanghai.

Mao Dun, a renowned modern Chinese revolutionary writer, was born in Wuzhen, and his well-known work, 'The Lin's Shop', describes the life of Wuzhen. In 1991, Wuzhen was authorized as the Provincial Ancient Town of History and Culture and ranked first among the six ancient towns south of the Yangtze River.

For the past decade, New Zealanders Joanne and Gareth Morgan have been living the semiretired lifestyle of their dreams, traveling around the world on motorcycles alongside a few of their closest friends.

They've traversed all seven continents on their bikes, with routes as varied as Venice to Beijing, Florida to northern Alaska, and South Africa to London, just to name a few. Gareth funds his own trips, many of which he uses to pursue philanthropic endeavors, particularly in the social-investment space. He is able to do so with money he's made as an economist and investment manager—one who has earned the reputation for criticizing unethical practices in New Zealand's financial-services industry.

In late August, the Morgans embarked on their most ambitious journey yet, at least physically. The real journey began years ago, when they decided they wanted to ride the Baekdudaegan, a mountain range that stretches the length of North and South Korea's shared peninsula. After countless hours of negotiation and coordination with both governments, they were granted permission. It was, the Morgans believe, the first time anyone's ever traveled through both countries like that since the partitioning of Korea in 1945. By making the trip they hoped to demonstrate how Koreans can come together over what they have in common. To symbolize this, the Morgans took some stones from Paektu, a holy mountain in the North, and brought them to Hallasan, a similarly sacred peak in the South.

Joanne and Gareth shot the entirety of their trip, the footage from which they have graciously allowed us to cut into a short film that will premiere on VICE.com this month. In some ways, the footage makes the Korean coast look alternately like California, China, and Cuba. It's a beautiful view few foreigners have seen, and even if planning the road trip straight through the Demilitarized Zone required working within parameters set by the highly choreographed and restricted confines of North-South Korean diplomacy, this was a journey worth documenting from start to finish.

From 355ft Zambian waterfalls to travertine terraces in Turkey: These are the world's most jaw-dropping NATURAL infinity pools

By Andrea Magrath for MailOnline
Luxury hotels are constantly competing to create the world's most beautiful infinity pool - with millpond-still water, glistening in the sunshine, seemingly stretching out to infinity and beyond.

No resort in the Maldives, Bora Bora and Tahiti is worth their salt if they don't boast an incredible infinity-edge pool that dreamily melds into the azure sea.

But as beautiful as these man-made pools are, it is hard to compete with one that nature has created. From travertine terraces in Turkey to waterfall pools with a 355-foot drop, these are the world's most beautiful natural infinity pools, as compiled by Conde Nast Traveler.

Otherworldly: The travertine terraces of Pamukkale, Turkey - a Unesco World Heritage Site - have been created by the carbonate mineral in flowing water building up

These formations created by the carbonate minerals in flowing water look otherworldly - and contain hot springs that can reach up to 100°C.

As a Unesco World Heritage Site, most of the pools are protected, with just a few remaining open for the public to enjoy.

Don't look behind you: Devil's Pool is adjacent to Victoria Falls in Zambia - swimmers can look out over a 355-foot drop

Devil's Pool is not for the faint-hearted! Put a foot wrong, and you're facing a 355-foot drop into the thunderous roar of Victoria Falls. The shallow pool is directly adjacent to the waterfall, however a stone wall below the surface of the water protects swimmers from getting swept over the edge.

The pools are only safe to swim in during the dry season when water levels are lower, between August and January.

Heavenly: The tiered waterfall in Laos emerges from shallow pools which cascade into a 60-foot waterfall

Like in Pamukkale, travertine terraces have been created by flowing water over the years.

There are a number of natural tidal pools in the Azores Archipelago. At Ponta di Ferreira, natural hot springs feed into the sea, creating a warm natural pool.

Swimmers have to negotiate jagged black lava rocks to reach the pool, but the cosy swim makes it well worth the effort.

An easy hike will land visitors at Valley View Hot Springs, and another 1/4 mile higher up will take them to the Top Ponds, a series of three ponds that flow into each other.

The undeveloped hot springs are surrounded by beautiful wildlife, and naturally cleaned and heated.
While the ponds further down the trail are a comfortable 'womb temperature', the top ponds can reach 40°C.

Sydney is home to dozens of tidal pools along the coast, but McIvors Pool and Wylie's Baths at Coogee Beach is arguably the most beautiful.

At hide tide, when the sea washes over the edge of the walls, it is hard to tell where the rock pool ends and the ocean begins.

While most of Sydney's pools started out as natural rock pools, many have been developed for bathers' comfort, with ladders, reinforced concrete walls, and railings at some.
