Dow falls about 1.8% after Wednesday’s record

The Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled more than 550 points Thursday as a wave of selling that began in the technology sector took down swaths of the market.

다우존스 산업평균지수는 목요일 기술업종에서 시작된 매도세가 시장의 흐름을 끌어내리면서 550포인트 이상 폭락했다.

투자자들이 채권 수익률의 급상승에 직면하면서 지난 주 주식의 모멘텀이 흔들리고 있다. 10년 만기 재무부 채권 수익률은 11월 이후 하루 만에 최대 상승폭을 기록했고 1년 만에 최고치로 내려앉았다.

Stocks’ momentum has faltered the past week as investors have faced a sharp and swift rise in bond yields. The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note marked its biggest one-day advance since November and settled at its highest level in a year.
