A Mexican woman with a hot temper got into trouble for allegedly stabbing her husband after finding pictures on his phone.

Apparently the woman thought the photos showed him having sex with another woman. They actually were shots of herself and the husband from years earlier.

It happened in Cajeme, Sonora, Mexico, according to the Daily Mail.

The man was reportedly found with multiple stab wounds on his arms and legs.

The woman was identified only as Leonora and was said to have attacked the man before asking him about the photos. Juan N., got quite the surprise, before getting the knife out of her hands and asking her what had prompted the outburst.

The report said Leonora was arrested and is still in jail. She allegedly said she didn’t recognize herself in the photos because she was younger, thinner and had her makeup on.

Juan is expected to be fine and told police he had told his wife he had recently found the photos in an email and had transferred them to his phone.

   멕시코의 한 여성이 남편의 휴대전화에 있는 젊은 시절 본인 사진을 보고는 ‘불륜녀’로 착각해 흉기를 휘두르는 황당한 일이 벌어졌다.

25일 데일리메일과 더선 등에 따르면, 최근 멕시코 소노라주에서 레오노라라는 여성이 남편을 흉기로 찌른 혐의로 체포됐다.

이 여성이 남편을 찌른 이유는 휴대전화에서 찾은 사진 때문이었다. 남편 옆에 웬 낯선 여성이 애정 행위를 하는 사진이었다.

그는 남편에게 설명할 기회도 주지 않고 곧장 부엌으로 달려가 흉기를 꺼내 남편에게 휘두르며 욕설을 퍼부었다.

비명을 들은 이웃 신고로 출동한 경찰은 아내의 손에서 흉기를 빼앗아 제압했다. 남편은 심각한 상처를 입고 병원으로 옮겨졌다.

경찰 조사 결과 문제의 사진 속 여성은 ‘불륜녀’가 아닌 아내 본인이었다. 과거의 젊고 날씬한 몸매에 화장을 한 자신의 얼굴을 알아보지 못해 벌어진 일이었다.

남편은 최근에 이메일에서 오래된 아내의 사진을 찾아 간직하고 싶어 자신의 휴대전화에 저장했다고 경찰에 설명했다.

아내는 현재 구금된 상태로 조사를 받고 있다. 남편의 부상 정도는 다리와 팔 등을 여러 번 찔렸다는 정도로만 알려졌으며, 회복될 것으로 예상된다고 매체는 전했다.
