    미국 한미연구소(ICAS)가 힐 차관보를 상대로 한 ICAS 시청자 대상 설문조사(정치적 중립 대상자)에서는 응답자의 73%가 월터 메베인 미시간대의 분석에 따라 '부정'이 저질러졌을 가능성이 있다고 생각하는 반면 23%는 반대의견을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

 응답자들에게 한국에서 어떤 핵심가치와 원리를 지켜야하냐고 생각하는지 물었더니 자유민주주의가 37%로 1위를 차지했고 시장경제(17%), 법치주의(16%), 인권(15%), 언론과 언론의 자유(15%) 순이었다.
미래를 내다보면 응답자의 68%는 향후 5~10년간 동아시아와 인도·태평양 극장에서 억제력을 전진시키기 위한 미국의 의지와 책임이 실질적으로 강화될 것으로 보고 있으며, 23%는 반대의견을 갖고 있다.고 대답했다
