An event hall within Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) is being redeveloped to host a crowd of 3,000.

Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company, owner of the ADNEC facility, expects the project to complete this year, in time for events planned for 2019.

Hall 4 of ADNEC – also known as the venue of Cityscape Abu Dhabi – will be divided into three event spaces, each with a capacity for 1,000 guests.

Khalifa Al Qubaisi, acting chief commercial officer at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company, said meeting rooms developed as part of the project would help visitors leverage Hall 4’s proximity to ADNEC’s multi-purpose atrium.

“The newly developed meeting rooms, with their strategic locations, will enable our conference clients to configure all aspects of their events in a logical and convenient manner,” he explained.

“The new rooms are also adjacent to ADNEC’s existing conference suites, the Innovation Lab, and the recently refurbished 76 Restaurant, making it apt for expansion and customisation.”

Qubaisi added that the development was a response to clients that are now recognising “the strategic importance of Abu Dhabi as a destination of choice in the Middle East”.

The National Housing Exhibition will be held at ADNEC this September, and among the infrastructure events that will be held at the venue in 2019 are the World Energy Congress and the World Road Congress.
