Iveco unveils 2,200km-range LNG concept truck
이베코가 2,200km를 주행할 수 있는 바이오 LNG개념의 차세대 트럭을 개발하여 66회째를 맞이하는 IAA전시회에 선보였다.
'Z'트럭이라 명명된 이 트럭은 미래의 대체 에너지인 바이오 LNG에 기반을 두고 개발된 무공해 차량이다.

Iveco has premiered its ‘Z Truck’ concept, an LNG-powered vehicle capable of operating long-haul routes at ranges of up to 2,200km, at the 66th edition of IAA Commercial Vehicles, an international trade event for the commercial automotive industry held every two years in Hanover, Germany.
The Iveco Z Truck concept, designed with CNH Industrial’s design and innovation department, aims to takes a step into the future by anticipating future alternative energy and delivering a zero-impact vehicle based on bio-LNG (liquefied natural gas produced by means other than fossil fuels).
This fuel type, together with enhanced aerodynamics and a waste heat recovery system, enable the heavy truck to deliver long-haul transport while producing virtually zero CO2 emissions. Many of its features are so pioneering that the vehicle is protected by a total of 29 patents.
Beyond fuel and driveline, the Z Truck concept also anticipates many of the developments in automated driving technologies currently being developed by most major truck manufacturers, and the transformation of the role of the driver into an on-board logistics operator.
The driver-centred design also aims to achieve ‘zero stress’ and zero ‘wasted time’.
The cab is freed from traditional constraints to be reconfigured according to the different uses (driving, automated driving, office work, rest), with a ‘Human Machine Interface’ (HMI) to adapt the way it provides information as needed – the right information, at the right time, in the right place.
